Surgery Update!
Thursday March 26, 2026 Goodmorning to all! We are currently sitting in the PICU while I'm writing this, the morning after surgery. The surgery to remove Ezzie's tumour went very well! Our surgeon was confident in how smoothly it all went. She thinks she go clean margins, but we won't know for use until the pathology results return in 2-3 weeks. They had to take more of the diaphragm than was expected, but they didn't have to touch the gall bladder or liver, which we are thankful for! She did, however, have to take a segment out of his 8th and 9th ribs to get all of the tumour out. They also needed a blood transfusion to help his blood counts during the surgery.
